The pReview Re-viewing Appe-Teasers
The Special Happy Feet Two Edition
Every now and then a movie comes out.. a movie whose subject transcends all subjects. A movie that touches the hearts of millions.. nay, trillions! A movie that should be viewed by women and other fictional creatures alike. A movie that came out in 2006. A movie about man's most dangerous game: Penguins.
I am, of course referring to Happy Feet. Just typing that, I had a shudder of realization shiver up my spine and into my quivering lips. The realization that movies will not be any better than singing, dancing penguins. A creature so impossibly black and yet, so impossibly white.. a creature that has such commitment to everything, that it mates for life. A creature that is so stubborn that it not only refuses to put on a jacket when it goes out to play.. but also refuses to come back inside when it gets too cold. A creature who is so non-materialistic, that it will accept something so simple as a pebble as a gift. This "penguin" movie.. this.. "Penguin Movie".. is so much more than just a nonsensical farce into the alleged lives of a sentient, self aware community of waddling, flightless birds. This is a documentary about the very soul the world seems to be missing. ..and now it has a sequel.
I won't talk to you about the trailer.. I'm not going to talk to you about how your kids will love this movie. I'm not even going to mention the fact that this movie has an all star voice acting cast. I will however say this: see this movie before it is too late.
That is all. Thank you.
And remember: Every Step Counts.
